Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar is one of the oldest schools in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is run by the Sri Sathya Sai Trust, M.P. and is a follower of the Sri Sathya Sai Baba tradition for human values and social work.
The school began in a hired building with 70 students in classes Jr. Montessori, Sr. Montessori and class I from July 1980. It moved to its own building in 1986.
Today the institute roll is 1679 children with a faculty of 120. In 2006, it stopped admission to boys. As soon as the last batch of boys passes out, the school will become a girls school.
The first Principal was Mrs. Maitreyi Padmanabhan. The director of the school is Mr. M.G. Paranjape who is also a director of a number of Sathya Sai Institutes in Madhya Pradesh. The Principal is Mrs. Punita Nehru.
The school has a consistent record of 100% first class in Central board examinations for the past few years.
To teach human values to students a daily "Education in Human Values" session is held. The session is not held on Mondays and Thursdays which are reserved for meditation and bhajans respectively.
